Below are the requirements for candidates who wish to gain admission into FUTA through JAMB (UTME):
- UTME Candidates must have at least, a Credit pass (C) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in their O’level result(s). This could be WASSCE/NECO or any other equivalent result.
- Candidates must make the Federal University of Technology, Akure their first choice of institution during JAMB registration.
- Candidates must score at least, 180 in JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission.
- Candidates are required to purchase FUTA post UTME form and pass the screening excellently.
- Candidates must choose the correct subject combinations to be considered for admission. The wrong subject combination will not be allowed.
FUTA Requirements for Direct Entry (DE)
Below are the requirements for candidates who wish to gain admission into the Federal University of Technology Akure through Direct Entry:
- A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
- Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
- JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
- Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.
- Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the FUTA Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And FUTA Portal.
- A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.
